# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like summer in a glass without any of the guilt or hangover.
  • You can throw it together faster than it takes to chill the glasses, perfect when guests arrive thirsty.
  • The watermelon stays the star, no fancy ingredients needed to make something feel special.
02 -
  • If you skip the straining step, the drink gets thick and unpleasant to sip through a straw—learned that the hard way.
  • Adding the sparkling water at the very end keeps the fizz alive instead of it escaping into the air while you fuss with garnishes.
03 -
  • Chill your glasses in the freezer while you're prepping the fruit—it keeps the drink cold longer and feels luxurious.
  • A watermelon that sounds hollow when you tap it is usually juicier than one that sounds dense, and this makes a real difference in the final flavor.
