Tropical Sunrise Mocktail (Printable)

Layered passionfruit, orange and pineapple drink with a sunrise effect; refreshing, vegan, ready in 10 minutes.

# What you'll need:

→ Fruit juices

01 - 1/2 cup passionfruit juice (fresh or bottled)
02 - 3/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
03 - 1/4 cup pineapple juice

→ Sweetener

04 - 1 tablespoon grenadine syrup

→ Garnish & extras

05 - Ice cubes (as needed)
06 - Orange slices for garnish
07 - Fresh mint sprigs (optional)
08 - Passionfruit pulp (optional, for texture)

# Method:

01 - Place two tall serving glasses on a stable surface and fill each glass with ice cubes to chill.
02 - Measure and pour 1/4 cup passionfruit juice into each glass, then add 3/8 cup orange juice to each, followed by 2 tablespoons pineapple juice per glass, pouring steadily to maintain separation.
03 - Using the back of a spoon or pouring slowly, pour 1/2 tablespoon grenadine down the inside edge of each glass so the syrup sinks and creates a layered sunrise.
04 - Finish each glass with an orange slice and a mint sprig; add a spoonful of passionfruit pulp on top if desired.
05 - Serve immediately without stirring to preserve the layers. If prepared ahead, combine juices and refrigerate; add ice and grenadine just before serving.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • This mocktail turns any moment into a celebration with its tropical flavors and striking appearance.
  • It's the kind of pour-and-impress drink that looks far more complicated than it is—no fancy bartending required.
02 -
  • Piling in the ice first prevents the grenadine from mixing too quickly and muddying the effect.
  • Slowly pouring the grenadine along the inside of the glass—never the middle—makes all the difference for a picture-perfect sunrise.
03 -
  • Use a bar spoon or the back of a spoon when pouring grenadine for ultra-defined layers.
  • Chill all your juices before mixing—warm juice will melt the ice and muddle the effect.
