# What you'll need:
→ Bread & Dairy
01 - 4 slices white or sourdough bread
02 - 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
→ Spread
03 - 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
→ Optional Add-Ins
04 - 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
05 - 2 slices tomato
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
# Method:
01 - Arrange the bread slices on a clean cutting board.
02 - Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly on one side of each bread slice; this will be the exterior side for grilling.
03 - On the uncoated side of two bread slices, lay two slices of cheddar cheese each. Optionally, add Dijon mustard, tomato slices, and a pinch of black pepper over the cheese.
04 - Top with the remaining bread slices, ensuring the mayo-coated sides face outwards.
05 - Warm a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
06 - Place the assembled sandwiches onto the skillet. Grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing lightly with a spatula until both sides are deeply golden and the cheese is fully melted. Adjust heat as needed to prevent burning.
07 - Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and allow to rest for 1 minute. Slice and serve hot.
